Handmade: Artisans of the Old & New West
For the past few weeks I've been photographing Western artisans -- individuals who are making functional things by hand with a very high level of artistry. It's that balance of form and function, I think, that makes their work so compelling. One commonality I've found amongst all the artisans I've worked with is that their work is a natural extension of their lives.

Glen, saw an example of your wonderful work in PopPhoto... and what you've said about pushing the landscape captured with a human element was very motivational for me. And was inspired after seeing your site as well. I still have much to learn, my camera and I have a lot of growing still...
